Pizza Hut Canada, the prominent fast food chain, teams up with Serve, a robot developing firm, to run a pilot programme of sidewalk delivery bots.Pizza Hut Canada taps Serve to pilot a two-week pilot programme of sidewalk delivery robots.The trial will be carried out in the city of Vancouver, B.C. Customers will place a food order via the Pizza Hut app. Serve will select and dispatch a sidewalk robot to customers’ doors to fulfil the order. Selected consumers for the trial could track the robot’s location through the app and will use a one-time code to receive their order from the Pizza Hut-branded robot, details Manish Dhankher, Director of Operations at Pizza Hut and Dr Ali Kashani, co-founder and CEO of Serve Robotics.
