Accenture, a research firm, reveals that metaverse is the digital utopia for grocers

Metaverse continues to become an intrinsic part of the digital and growth strategy of grocers and retailers. The tech and IT industries are on the verge of a constant boom and Accenture, a research firm, accentuates the fact further.The study, which included more than 11,000 consumers in 16 countries, revealed that metaverse, virtual and augmented realities collectively impact consumer shopping behaviour, and companies need to prepare for them. Around two-thirds (64%) of shoppers had already bought a virtual good or participated in a virtual experience or service digitally in the past year. 83% of them are interested in making purchases via the metaverse in the future. Around 42% of consumers visited a retailer in the virtual world to borrow a product, get advice or make a payment.
