Carrefour lowers prices of grocery essentials to support consumers amidst hiking inflation

As consumers battle with rising inflation, Carrefour comes to the rescue to ease off the financial burden. The French retail giant cuts prices of 100 staple items such as rice, canned foods and washing liquid solutions to help consumers access basic food items. President Emmanuel Macron urged retailers to cut prices as the soaring inflation affects shoppers. Apart from retailers, French oil giants TotalEnergies and shipping giant CMA CGM also offer relief to consumers by cutting the price of fuel at gas stations.
