Shoppers who love to own digital currencies can now use cash to trade, own and exchange Bitcoin, Ethereum and more than 40 other digital currencies at Cardenas Markets. The Hispanic grocer has allied with Coin Cloud, a Bitcoin ATM and digital currency machine (DCM) operator, to initiate the deployment of cryptocurrency machines in three states. Shoppers would use DCMs along with the Coin Cloud Crypto Wallet app to save cryptocurrencies. They can also add other mobile wallets compatible with the transacted digital currencies for trade. Prabash Coswatte, chief operating officer at Cardenas Markets, added that this partnership would help the grocer fulfil consumers’ evolving digital needs. Coin Cloud firm has rolled out 500 DCMs in retail customer stores served by distributor United Natural Foods Inc. and plans to increase it to 4,000 UNFI retailers locations.
