Grocers have already started preparing for the upcoming holiday season and occasions like Halloween. Advantage Solutions, a research firm, shared in its latest report that after two unusual years that affected consumer spending, shoppers plan to go back to their pre-pandemic shopping patterns. Advantage Solutions included around 1,000 shoppers in its study. Around 85% of shoppers said they plan to spend more on candies and treats this year. 54% of them plan to decorate, and 71% of shoppers with kids said they will purchase costumes. Another study suggests that price will be a crucial factor for shoppers due to inflation.
