Ancera introduced its Salmonella System Monitoring (SSM) software to enhance insights into Salmonella across the poultry supply chain. Leveraging its network of surveillance systems, CRISPR databases, and software, Ancera aims to support the US poultry industry, minimising risks and boosting profit margins. CEO Arjun Ganesan highlighted the significance of empowering the poultry industry through improved intelligence, emphasising its transformative potential in managing supply chain risks. Built on advanced CRISPR-SeroSeq technology from the University of Georgia, the platform offers high-throughput monitoring and risk analytics, forming a “BioBarrier” against Salmonella for heightened productivity and compliance. This launch coincides with the USDA’s Salmonella Grand Challenge, aiming to reduce Salmonella infections by a quarter by 2030. Ancera’s focus on cutting-edge technology underscores the importance of identifying systematic risks and implementing effective control strategies amid the vast array of Salmonella serotypes.
