Amazon Pharmacy launches rapid drone delivery for prescription medications in college station, Texas

Amazon Pharmacy has introduced free drone delivery of over 500 prescription medications within an hour for College Station, Texas, residents. Eligible customers can opt for this service during their online orders, receiving medications for conditions like asthma and flu promptly. Dr. Vin Gupta, Amazon Pharmacy’s Chief Medical Officer, emphasised the significance of reducing the time from illness onset to treatment. Drones fly at altitudes of 40 to 120 metres, equipped with sensors and cameras to avoid obstacles during delivery. Amazon’s Prime Air ensures swift deliveries by bypassing road traffic. This initiative marks Amazon’s commitment to revolutionising healthcare accessibility by offering speed and convenience.
