American fast food chain Shake Shack gearing up to expand in Southeast Asia

Maxim’s Caterers, a Hong Kong-based licensee, is bringing the famous American burger chain Shake Shack to Thailand. Shake Shack will launch its first flagship outlet in Bangkok next year. The fast-food chain expects to roll out 15 additional stores across Thailand by 2032. Michael Kark, chief global licensing officer at Shake Shack, is excited to tap Thailand due to its culinary rich culture and lively residents. The burger chain will sell signature offerings, such as ShackBurger, Chicken Shack, and Chicken Bites. Uber Eats partners with Motional firm to pilot an autonomous delivery service

Uber Eats, a third-party delivery firm, is considering rolling out driverless delivery vehicles to deliver orders to customers. The delivery platform has partnered with Motional to roll out autonomous delivery vehicles in Santa Monica, California. Motional’s all-electric IONIQ 5 vehicles have been adapted to provide autonomous deliveries. The vehicle firm spent several months piloting the on-road autonomous vehicle (AV) programme in the Los Angeles area. The partner delivery firms will receive an update when the delivery vehicle will reach the customer’s location. Boxed, an American digital wholesale grocer, has partnered with FedEx, a renowned shipping and transportation company, to deliver more orders to consumers. The online wholesaler will reduce shipping costs across its fulfilment centres through this multi-layer association with FedEx.
