Varus taps Binance to initiate grocery-based cryptocurrency payments

Varus, a Ukrainian supermarket chain, has teamed up with Binance, a US-regulated cryptocurrency trading platform, to facilitate payments through grocery-based cryptocurrency. As per Cointelegraph, Varus is one of the leading grocers with over 111 stores across 28 cities in Ukraine. Binance will allow its shoppers to access instant cryptocurrency payments and ensure delivery in nine cities in the country. To lure more shoppers, the retailer will reward shoppers with UAH 100 if they place an order from the VARUS Delivery Programme of over UAH 500 and pay for it with Binance Pay. Previously, POS and cryptocurrency payments firm Whitepay partnered to enable payments through crypto money. Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, disclosed that Ukraine is expected to become the upcoming Web3.0 hub.
