Businesses have strumbled to keep up with pandemic-led overhead costs and decreased profits resulting from lesser foot traffic. Many notable third-party delivery platforms like DoorDash, Postmates, and Grubhub have offered discounts and loan programs to ease the financial burden of restaurant owners. DoorDash added a DoorDash Weblinks program to manage online orders for restaurants. The delivery firm also partnered with Kiva, a nonprofit financial firm, to offer loans to Black-owned restaurants. Uber Eats initiated an in-app feature to allow diners to donate to eateries directly. Grubhub founded a program to support Hispanic-owned restaurants.
