Insights for the Food and Grocery Industry

Startup Nourish+Bloom Market, an autonomous African American-owned grocery retailer, has teamed up with UST, a tech solution providing firm, to roll out about 500 self-checkout stores in the US. The retailer has launched its debuting store of around 1,500 square feet in Fayetteville, Ga., located at 300 Trilith Pkwy., on Jan. 21. UST’s technology has equipped the stores with self-checkout systems that tally the products and let shoppers escape the tedious lines in grocery stores by scanning QR codes. This technology will also combat food insecurities in underserved communities. UST also provides retail back-office software, the Bistro module, and integration services for diverse systems. The stores also offer robot delivery of grocery orders.
