Save Mart Co.s. teamed up with Starship Technologies to roll out a fleet of robotic delivery to deliver last-mile orders in Modesto, California, in September 2020. As per the latest report and confirmation from Save Mart spokeswoman Victoria Castro, the partners have halted the robotic delivery in Modesto. Consumers in other parts of the country would still welcome the delivery robots carrying their orders. Starship stated that the startup is dealing with tough and ever-changing economic factors and is affected by them. Shoppers could use Starship’s food delivery app to place their orders and the robots deliver packages at pedestrian speed on sidewalks.
