Panera launches its Panera To Go store, a digital-only outlet in Chicago

Many restaurants have tested the idea of ghost kitchens and launched digital-only outlets due to the restrictions posed by the pandemic. It seems a norm now, as Panera has launched its digital-only outlet, Panera To Go, in Chicago. This ghost kitchen is the first of three similar stores in the country. The firm will roll out the other two in Washington, D.C., and California. Panera To Go outlets help restaurants manage an overwhelming number of orders in a systematic order and serve customers without worrying about accommodating them within the restaurant space. On-premise consumers can order from the Panera app or website and later collect their orders from a shelf. Delivery associates can also collect orders from dedicated delivery spots in these ghost kitchens.
