Meijer Inc., an American grocery chain, will soon host its first-ever Sustainability Supplier summit to promote sustainability and eco-friendly products. The grocer will showcase the sustainable products, presented by vendors, across its grocery shelves. The summit will be held virtually and will start from June 20-23. Meijer had recently conducted a survey to locate environmental issues for the firm and its shoppers. The grocer will only source from suppliers following the sustainability guidelines. Meijer has teamed up with Solon, Ohio-based Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM) and its subsidiary RangeMe, a digital product discovery tool, to host the event live from the ECRM Connect virtual platform. The retailer already offers countless sustainable products and is seeking 38 certifications for new products.
