Largest U.S. retailer-owned co-op Wakefern partners with Trigo to pilot an AI-powered store

Wakefern, the largest retailer-owned cooperative in the U.S., has collaborated with Israel-based Tech firm Trigo. The partners will work together to pilot an AI-powered frictionless tech store. This venture marks the first project of Tel Aviv-based firm Trigo. While preserving Wakefern’s authenticity and layout, Trigo will deploy GDPR-compliant technology at various stores to offer a seamless shopping experience. Shoppers will scan a QR code to enter and pay for the products in the checkout-free store. The store will be launched in New Jersey later this year.
