JackBe, a drive-thru grocer, set to launch in Edmond, Oklahoma

JackBe, a curbside drive-thru grocer, is set to launch its first outlet in Edmond, Oklahoma. Ruhter and three co-founders founded the firm with the notion of pick-up only—no stepping inside the store to shop. Orders are placed using the JackBe app, and when they are ready, the shopper is met by a JackBe representative. The service is free, and there is no minimum purchase requirement.

Ruhter also stated that the JackBe shops will soon provide prepared meals as well as local products, such as those from the “Made in Oklahoma Coalition.”
