Instacart expands tech platform to connect independent grocers and their customers with new technology

Instacart is expanding its platform with four new capabilities to help grocers make the most of food technology. These features include digital ordering; pickup and delivery of weight-based items; integrated fulfilment for Rosie-powered websites; and remote management capabilities for its AI-powered smart carts. Instacart’s Carrot Advertising platform now incorporates display advertisements, allowing grocers to expand their own retail media networks and capitalise on new income opportunities. Instacart is investing in the future of its retail partners, and small and independent grocers, in particular, may benefit from simple, cost-effective solutions designed just for them. Retailers such as New Seasons Market, Niemann Foods, The Fresh Market, and Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace, as well as wholesaler Associated Food Stores, have benefited from it.
