Google has now transformed its platform into a digital store offering apparel, gadgets, accessories and much more. With free retailer listings, Google can make its paid ads more valuable as brands will pay more to look distinctive from competitors. It might be easier for Google to replicate Amazon’s online store. But Amazon’s strength lies in Amazon prime and its loyal customers. Google might find it hard to grab Amazon’s prime members’ attention.
