Chicago-based Foxtrot convenience store chain has just raised $100 million in new Series C funding and intends to reimagine its business model. The digital store is expanding its brick-and-mortar stores to 50 new locations by the next two years. The convenience store operator is hunting the best local foods from artisans to add to its core offerings of coffee, ready-to-eat cafe meals and wine. Foxtrot’s offerings include five-minute pickup, rapid and on-demand delivery. It will also roll out Foxtrot Anywhere nationwide shipping tool.
