E-grocer Gorillas to buy Frichti, a French delivery firm, to further its business development activities

Gorillas, a German on-demand grocery firm, is in talks with a French delivery firm named Frichti for its acquisition. The German grocer plans to expand its business lines, and if the deal is sealed, this acquisition will have the second-biggest market share in Paris. Gorillas raised $1B from Delivery Hero SE in October last year. The firm now is at a valuation of roughly $3 billion. Frichti has around 450,000 customers, serviced by about 25 micro-fulfilment centres across eight cities in France and Belgium.
