Continente, a Portuguese grocer, has signed a partnership contract with Road Sixty Geek, a Belgian company, to roll out geek spots to its retail outlets. The programme will offer products to shoppers that are related to pop culture. These products will be available in specially-designed geek corners to provide an immersive shopping experience. Portuguese ‘geeks’ can purchase funky items, including Funko Pops, mugs, lamps and collectables. David Kauffman, the founder of Road Sixty Geek detailed that the geek corners will attract “anything suitable for fans of manga, Disney and cult movies.” Continente will roll out these geek offerings to all 20 Continente outlets.
