Market 32/ Price Chopper announce Northeast Grocery Inc. as their new parent company

Market 32/ Price Chopper and Tops Markets have announced the closing of their merger deal earlier this year. The retailers will have respective leaders as their local managers. Northeast Grocery Inc. is their new parent company. Federal Trade Commission has approved the Food distributor C&S Wholesale Grocers to purchase all 12 stores, and GU Markets LLC, an affiliate of C&S Wholesale Grocers, will operate them. Northeast Grocery Inc. will have a headquarter in Schenectady, NY. Price Chopper/Market 32 and Tops Markets will retain their headquarters in Williamsville, New York.
