With Asda’s £6.8bn takeover by the Issa brothers, petrol convenience stores are the new normal

Many changes have been made to Asda ever since billionaire brothers Mohsin and Zuber Issa acquired the grocer for £6.8bn. Asda stated that the COO, CSO and the CEO have stepped down. The Issa brothers added 323 Asda petrol stations to their existing 320 sites to make them the main focus. This year, Asda will open 28 new “on the move” stores under the new leadership. The Issa brothers wish to innovate Asda’s business and are optimistic about it being a successful venture.
