Beautycounter, a skincare and cosmetic brand, has partnered with Klarna, a Swedish buy-now-pay-later digital app. Klarna will sponsor the beauty retailer’s in-house Livestream shopping series. Christy Coleman, a celebrity makeup guru, will host these virtual series to help viewers lead a cleaner beauty regime. Beautycounter’s 10-minute long virtual content generates about 200-500% more sales. Klarna has 20 million customers in the U.S. and has 4 million active app users. Beautycounter will gain access to Klarna’s customer base and offer checkout codes to them. The fintech firm already works with big makeup retailers like Sephora and Aesop.
