Walgreens has partnered with InComm Payments, a Fintech firm, to launch its bank accounts. These bank accounts will be available online and at 9,000 Walgreens physical stores across the U.S. Walmart is the second biggest retailer to team up with Ribbit Capital to launch Hazel, a Fintech startup. Walmart’s Hazel will offer a broad range of financial services such as lending, digital payments and bank accounts through a mobile-first super app. Hazel app will combine different aspects such as commerce, finance, shopping and healthcare within a single digital platform.
