Giant Co. to roll out FlashFood app to curb retail food waste collectively

Giant Co. has successfully piloted the app Flashfood and is ready for its roll out to 170 Martins and Giant stores initially. By using this app, shoppers can buy fresh produce, deli, bakery items and dairy products nearing the best-before date at a discounted price. Shoppers will have to install the app to browse the discounted items and make a purchase directly from the app to get same-day delivery of the grocery.
