Walgreens, a grocery giant, pilots an intelligent conversational voice robot from Nuance Communications to help customers schedule their COVID-19 vaccine. The bot will also provide relevant information that is accessible 24/7 to customers. The robot is programmed to store and speak information both in English as well as Spanish. An SMS is sent by Nuance Communications to confirm the customer’s vaccine appointment after the robot schedules it.
