Data firm LiveRamp has joined hands with Carrefour to provide up-to-date retail services

LiveRamp, a data connectivity firm, has signed a partnership deal with Carrefour to offer revamped data collectivity services. The partners will innovate Carrefour’s database and offer data safety to customers using modern data analytics. The data firm will provide next-generation retail services to the retailer through Safe Haven, LiveRamp’s secure data foundation. Safe Haven currently operates in the UK, US, France, China, Japan and Australia, and after its partnership with Carrefour, it will expand to Spain, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Romania, Argentina, Brazil and Taiwan. E-grocer Gorillas to buy Frichti, a French delivery firm, to further its business development activities

Gorillas, a German on-demand grocery firm, is in talks with a French delivery firm named Frichti for its acquisition. The German grocer plans to expand its business lines, and if the deal is sealed, this acquisition will have the second-biggest market share in Paris. Gorillas raised $1B from Delivery Hero SE in October last year. The firm now is at a valuation of roughly $3 billion. Getir plans to create 6,000 jobs in the UK as the expansion continues

Getir, a Turkey-based 10-minutes delivery firm, continues expansion in the EMEA region and plans to create about 6,000 jobs in the UK by the end of 2022. As of now, the Turkish firm has around 4,000 employees in permanent roles in London along with gig workers. The new vacant positions would be for riders, dark store managers, pickers and operators. Getir, now valued at $7.7B, intends to inject $100M into the UK expansion project. The ultra-fast delivery startup has its dark stores in 81 cities of Turkey and grew into London this year. Flying Tiger, a Copenhagen-based self-checkout tech, is coming to its UK stores with MishiPay

Flying Tiger is rolling out MishiPay, its mobile-based self-checkout mobile app, to its UK store. Earlier, the Copenhagen-based firm piloted its tech in Sweden, Denmark and Norway and deployed the Scan, Pay and Go service to its 30 retail outlets. Customers will use MishiPay’s mobile app to scan a QR code to enter and pay for the products they want to purchase. Martin Jermiin, the CEO at Flying Tiger, has reported that about 100,000 customers have already used the application for self-checkout service during its first phase. Apple’s latest retail strategy and eye-dazzling architectural flair is worth praise

Apple has launched new stores in Rome, Istanbul and Los Angelos in 2021 and is making noise for its head-turning store format. The tech giant has turned an ancient palace into its store in Italy. The artwork has graffiti murals and frescos to give an antique look. The second retail outlet is located at Bagdat Caddesi, Istanbul and is inspired by the design of a green oasis. The space has a tree-inspired garden design, and Apple sourced Aksaray Yaylak granite and Turkish limestone for the floor.
