SalesForce data shows the highest sales of $62B during the US 2021 Cyber Week sales

Every consumer shopped their heart out when the Cyber Week sales 2021 started and had a record-high $62B in the US. Even though inflation caused an 11% increase in prices of holiday goods, holiday inventory went down 6% due to high demand. Overall, 2021 global online sales struck an all-time high of $275 billion, up 2% compared to last year, as per the SalesForce report. The data also revealed that deals were harder to find as inflation went up and discounts went down. Shoppers had limited gift options as supply chain woes shrank the inventory. Facebook introduces a suite of improved features to facilitate livestreaming for content creators

Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of updated features, including various Live updates, to help content creators grow on Meta. The features include Polls, a “Live-With” feature to support broadcasting of up to 4 people, a revamped post format, ease of adding links to broadcast and a “Live in Stories” to post Livestream to Facebook stories. Fans can add more Stars to the live sessions of their favourite creators to support them. Creators would add more links, allowing fans to open them without leaving the Livestream, the company added. Walmart, Hy-Vee to pilot a Special Supplement Nutrition Program to improve the online food accessibility

The grocery industry is currently working together to provide food to needy people via smooth online accessibility. Various grocers such as Walmart, Hy-Vee and Buche Foods pilot the Special Supplement Nutrition Program digitally for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Walmart will test the WIC online ordering at 85 stores from next year. The WIC online ordering is a part of a multi-phase pilot tested by USDA and a non-profit research firm focused on nutrition, Nebraska-based Gretchen Swanson Center for Nutrition (GSCN), to eliminate food insecurity. Ghost kitchens operating firm JustKitchen has launched its store in the Philippines

JustKitchen, a ghost kitchen operator, has signed a joint venture with TDG Ventures (TVI) to enter the Philippines market. The joint venture has been named JV CO and will operate plus distribute JustKitchen’s products by the start of 2022. The Taiwan-based ghost kitchen operator will have a 51% ownership interest in JV Co, with the remainder owned by TVI. The partners will duplicate the same model to launch dark kitchens in Taiwan.
