Uber has recently teamed up with Bed Bath & Beyond and Buybuy Baby to deliver baby products, including diapers, milk, wipes, pacifiers, thermometers and more. The delivery firm has added the latest baby and kids category to its app and will deliver via Uber Eats and Uber digital platform all across the US. Parents can receive $20 off any order of more than $60 from Bed Bath & Beyond, Yumi, Buybuy Baby, Honest, or Little Spoon. Uber has recently donated $200,000 to a nonprofit organization, Baby2Baby, offering essential items to children across the US.

A Swedish tech startup Lifvs will oversee the unattended grocery stores in rural areas

A tech-enabled grocery startup called Lifvs is changing the landscape of grocery shopping in the Scandinavian country. The Swedish startup hopes to keep consumers’ kitchen cabinets stocked with essential grocery items in rural areas. These areas were abandoned by previous retailers due to a lack of supply of quintessential products like milk, bread, meat etc. The stores have launched 300-square-foot modular structures in Bålsta, Sweden and rely on smartphones to manage transactions and inventory. A mobile-based app is required to enter and scan products in the store. These stores also come with a locker for consumers to pick their online orders.

Walmart is about to launch a Live shoppable campaign named “Joy. Fully” to bridge the gap between consumers and retailers. This campaign will include shoppable content and Livestreams offered by various supplier members. The retail giant is also partnering with the picture-sharing platform Pinterest to launch shoppable recipes. To facilitate the purchase process, Walmart lets shoppers add ingredients to the cart and plan meals easily. Walmart has also teamed up with Facebook to offer an AR lens that allows consumers to shop “joy sparking” products. Shoppers can then shop Walmart’s gift finding experience.
