Shoppers still prefer to shop in-store and cherish the physical retail experience. Retailers are moving towards live video retail practices to offer a similar digital experience. Eyezon is a cloud-based SaaS solution that big retailers can attach to their offline assets as a script in 3-4 business days. The live button widget is embedded to let the online visitors ask queries. Eyezon stated that one in four visitors who ordered a video makes an on-call purchase for the same online session.

Amazon will launch its department-store style outlets having robots, QR-codes in 2022

The Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon will launch a department store, mainly selling clothes, in 2022. Amazon’s futuristic trial rooms will have robots, touchscreens and QR codes to order more dresses to try on. Shoppers would scan QR codes with their smartphones to try and purchase apparel. Amazon’s US department store will be 30,000 square feet, smaller than the usual department stores. Shoppers can buy Amazon’s own-labelled clothing line along with other brands.
