Hans Anders, a Dutch eyewear chain, has launched an AI tool on its website to select the best-suited glasses. The app uses a self-teaching algorithm and recommends eyewear according to consumers’ face shape. The app requires 17 facial features and 24 spectacle data points to share glasses advice. These human facial features include eyebrow shape, jawline and skin undertone. Hans Anders launched the tech tool on its Dutch website and will roll it out to the Belgian website by the end of this year. The brand eyes further expansion to Austria, Germany and The Netherlands.

Woolworths collaborates with discount supermarket chain Big W to pilot Everyday Market

Woolworths Australia is launching an online marketplace named Everyday Market. The supermarket chain has teamed up with Big W, an Australian discount retailer. Shoppers can access various retailers on Everyday Market, shop from different categories and pay as they checkout. Everyday Market will also partner with its suppliers to expand the product options. Woolworth plans to roll it out countrywide by the end of this year.

H.E.B and Publix ranked as top online grocers by U.S. consumers

A recent survey by Ipsos, a global research firm, shows that U.S. consumers have ranked Publix and H.E.B as number one online regional chains. Ipsos stated that about 2,000 American consumers participated in the survey and examined 14 retailers. The two food retailers were selected as the winners due to their ability to schedule a pickup time, in-stock availability, higher accuracy and useful instructions on pickup orders. Aldi has been ranked as the third best online grocer.
