Ahold Delhaize adopts wearable robotic technology to reduce worker’s physical strain

ADUSA supply chain, Ahold Delhaize’s distribution unit in the U.S., plans to roll out about 250 wearable robotic devices known as “exosuits.” These tech devices, once worn, can help in lifting bulky items in the distribution units. The exosuits can help alleviate workers’ physical fatigue that reduces strain on employees’ backs by 30% to 40% during routine work. An item that would usually weigh 22 pounds can feel like14 pounds with exosuits.
