Coles, an Australian grocer, has joined forces with Flypay, a digital transaction processing platform. The digital wallet service is now available to make online and in-store grocery purchases. Customers can proceed to checkout and pay through Flypay as their credit card details are already saved in their Flypay account. Shoppers can earn Flybus rewards on every digital transaction made through Flypay for further discounts. Target, Kmart, Liquorland are some other firms that let its shopper pay from Flypay digital wallet.

Harris Teeter to launch its grand store in Alexandria, VA

Harris Teeter, a grocery supermarket chain owned by Kroger, has just opened its 72,000-square-foot store located in West Alex, VA. Harris Teeter will officially hold an opening ceremony on June 23. The grand store will have an in-store pharmacy and ExpressLane online shopping service. The supermarket will offer full-service bakery and deli offerings, a sea-food and a diverse meat section along with a fresh produce section and much more. The store will have a hot food bar, sandwich and snack stations, and a Starbucks Cafe.

The vegan meat company acquired The Cultured Nut, a firm that offers a wide variety of crafty vegan cheese products, this year.
