Retailers can now select Walkout’s automated solution for a cashierless checkout

Retailers can now implement cashierless checkout using any of the two emerging solutions available: retrofit the store with cameras and computer vision, or retrofit the shopping carts with smaller versions with the same cameras. Tel Aviv, Israel-based WalkOut is offering the second option. The retrofit mini cameras and a touchscreen, which also acts as an advertising platform, is installed on the carts to count items and keep a track of them. Shoppers can enter their card details to make payments.

Flytrex will soon offer backyard drone delivery in North Carolina

Flytrex, an Israel-based drone delivery startup, will soon expand its drone delivery services in North Carolina. The startup just received approval from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The drone delivery firm will operate drones above people and deliver grocery directly to consumers’ backyard. Flytrex drones can carry a 6.5-pound payload up to 40 mph with a range of six miles. Flytrex has also partnered with Causey Aviation Unmanned to conduct drone operations.
