Kroger is all set to lay the blueprint of latest digital ecosystem

Kroger is expanding its digital reach and intends to tap more geographical areas like Florida. Kroger will use technology, economies of scale, and retail media to whittle down costs and maximize profit on increasing digital orders. Automated sheds in Ocado will start fulfilling orders this year whose capacity on average is equivalent to 20 stores. Advanced technology and a digital supply chain will be implemented to maximize the shelf life of Kroger’s Fresh produce.

CU retailer taps the Malaysian market and goes international

CU, a South Korean convenience retailer, has launched its first store in Malaysia to support its goal of pushing the brand internationally. The grocer has already opened a store in Mongolia and has about 60% inventory of Korean products like ramens and famous Korean street food such as rice cake. BGF Retail, the owner of CU, signed a partnership deal with Mynews Holdings to open about 50 stores in Malaysia last year.
