PayPal’s report suggests Hong Kong is about to recapture eCommerce growth in 2021

About two-thirds (61%) of eCommerce businesses in Hong Kong surveyed by PayPal hope the eCommerce businesses will re-grow in 2021. They also anticipate overcoming the hurdles caused by a decline in sales due to COVID-19, and supply chain and logistics issues. 86% of respondents seek to improve digital shopping experiences and raise competitiveness.

OrderChamp, a Dutch wholesale B2B marketplace, has announced its expansion to Germany

After announcing its expansion to the French market last year, OrderChamp has now entered the German market. The wholesale marketplace already has an online presence in Germany and is now working to have a physical presence too. OrderChamp offers access to 25,000 retailers across Europe, who can buy products from over 1,500 different European brands.

Payment company Network International reports that UAE residents spent 40% more when they bought groceries online during the nation-wide lockdown in 2020. Consumer behaviour has changed over the past year due to safety reasons and rising contactless shopping practices. The growth is led by e-grocery startups and ride-hailing apps delivering grocery and other essential orders.
