Walmart to include electric vans in its last-mile delivery fleet to achieve zero emissions

As a crucial part of its sustainable goal of achieving zero emissions, Walmart is adding drones, electric delivery vans, and autonomous delivery trucks to its last-mile delivery fleet. Walmart will deploy and assess automobiles powered by compressed natural gas (CNG). This way, the retailer will become the first transportation company to add the Cummins 15-liter Natural Gas Engine to limited vehicles. To limit gas emissions, Walmart is considering qualities of renewable natural gas, hydrogen, and electric fuel for its trucks and refrigerated trailers. The giant retailer is considering using Texas-based Capacity’s first second-generation hydrogen fuel cell truck.
