Walmart expanded Drone program is a big step forward for the company

Walmart is expanding its 30-minute drone delivery experiment. The store has drone delivery hubs in seven states, including Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, in collaboration with its partner DroneUp. DroneUp’s drones are piloted by qualified pilots who follow FAA regulations. Each delivery hub has its own set of delivery standards, ranging from a quarter mile to one mile from a business. Walmart has performed over 6,000 customer deliveries in the last year, and the store claims to be uniquely positioned to provide drone delivery at scale in 2023.
