Tops Markets LLC has completed the first phase of its Pennsylvania remodelling project, unveiling three renovated stores in Erie and Waterford. The renovations include significant upgrades, such as a new fuel station and expanded beer and wine options. Tops’ president, Ron Ferri, expressed excitement about the investments, which aim to elevate the customer experience and provide improved access to fresh foods. The second phase of the project will involve renovating two more stores in Union City and Meadville with a $1.5 million investment. The renovations will create more space for fresh food and foodservice options. Tops is also expanding its Flashfood programme, an app-based marketplace that offers discounted food nearing its best-by date, and giving back to local communities through donations to various nonprofits.
