The Metaverse & NFTs will own our groceries within decade

There will someday be the Metaverse, or something similar, where commodities and services may be created, acquired, and exchanged. It will probably be limitless and undefinable, easily accessible through desktop, mobile, or virtual reality, and based on the internet upon which it is created. It will be a virtual community, similar to how Silicon Valley initially envisioned the internet at the beginning of the century. Customers of ShiftPixy may design their own NFT avatars, which can then be enhanced with food purchases made on the company’s online stores to receive discounts and benefits in the real world.

According to Absher, “Restaurants require a special setting to satisfy consumers’ evolving expectations with the Metaverse.” The speed with which the food service sector has adopted metaverse technologies is remarkable. In addition, Panera Bread registered the name “Paneraverse,” and Chipotle opened a Roblox virtual store. Other instances include virtual eateries and NFTs that are used as money to buy virtual food and beverages. In the previous year, over two-thirds had already bought a virtual item or used a virtual experience or service, and this number is only anticipated to increase.
