Groceries and home furnishings are two categories that have shown an uptick in BNPL purchases. In the first two months of 2023, online grocery increased their proportion of BNPL orders by 40%, while home furnishings increased by 38%. This implies that customers are likely to make larger purchases online in order to take advantage of promotions and stock up on basics, allowing them to manage living expenditures in more flexible ways.
