Shopic deploys smart shopping cart solutions in 30 Shufersal supermarkets

Tel-Aviv-based Shopic announced today the deployment of at least 2000 smart carts across 30 Shufersal supermarkets in Israel by the end of March. The pilot retailers stated that Shopic’s solution handled 12% to 15% of their income, and checkout times with the smart cart took less than one minute, compared to 3.5 minutes for self-checkout lanes and 9 minutes for cashier lanes. Shopic has also received overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers, with an average customer satisfaction score of 85–95%. The worldwide smart shopping cart market is expected to increase at a CAGR of 27.48% to $9.7 billion by 2030, from $1.4 billion in 2022. Wegmans has announced that it is testing Shopic’s smart carts in two shops in Amherst and Rochester, New York.
