Sam’s Club forecasts the amount of pumpkin pies required using the AI algorithm

Sam’s Club uses AI to forecast the amount of pumpkin pie each of its locations will require throughout the Christmas season. Officials from Sam’s Club claim that their algorithm makes use of a wide range of data.

Things include the local weather (buying pies decreases in hot weather), whether the Sunday football game is at home or away (more pies are required for home games), and how popular pecan pies are this year (more pecan pies can translate into fewer pumpkin pie sales).
