Plenty Unlimited Inc. has raised $400 million in a Series E fundraising round headed by One Madison Group and JS Capitol, its largest investment to date. Plenty’s board of directors will be joined by Walmart and SoftBank Vision Fund 1, and the $400 million will help the company develop. Plenty has formed a business partnership with Walmart to lead a new category of fresh products and bring Plenty farms closer to Walmart customers year-round in order to deliver pesticide-free, sustainable products. Plenty, an indoor agricultural startup, has collaborated with Walmart to acquire fresh greens from its Compton farm.
