The partners have launched Walmart Now, a digital convenience store, and piloted the programme in Toronto. Shoppers in Canada can now add grocery essentials from a broad range of 4,000 products from Walmart Now to their carts. Instacart will deliver the order within 30 minutes by picking up the products from 10 of the retailer’s outlets in Toronto. The grocery delivery service is available on both Walmart Now and Instacart digital portals. Chris Rogers, Vice President of Retail at Instacart, said that customers expect quick delivery service, convenience and a wide variety of products to choose from, and Walmart Now offers them all of these in one click. Instacart is using Carrot Storefront, which is one of the services under its Instacart Platform and is an end-to-end white-label e-commerce solution.
