Lowe’s Companies is entering the metaverse to allow customers to visualise their building landscapes

Lowe’s Co., an American firm offering home renovation solutions, is the next big retailer to launch its hub in the metaverse. The retailer would allow customers to use its virtual assets and experience the visual home renovation process in the metaverse. Seemantini Godbole, Lowe’s executive, stated that modern consumers would love to try the latest tech solutions, and that is why it went right ahead to capitalise on the trending tech venture. Several retailers, like Wendy’s and Carrefour, bought a virtual land on other metaverse gaming platforms like Roblox and Sandbox. But Lowe’s changed the metaverse pattern, making its 500 product assets like chairs and other furniture available on its own platform for consumers to download for free. Marisa Thalberg, the retailer’s executive VP and chief brand and marketing officer, further detailed that Lowe’s is still exploring other ventures in the metaverse.
