Kroger and Market Wagon have launched their digital farmers market

Kroger Co. has teamed up with Market Wagon, an Indianapolis-based company that develops online farmer markets in the producer-direct food sector, to create an online farmers’ market in Atlanta. Consumers in Georgia can now purchase local products from the digital market. Kroger reported that the digital farmers market became available last week and serves customers in the Atlanta metropolitan area within a 60-mile radius of downtown Atlanta. The digital Kroger Farmers Market offers a locally-sourced assortment of more than 1,150 products, including various products like fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy products, eggs, baked items, ready-to-cook foods and non-foods. All items found on the e-marketplace are exclusive to the service and they are not yet found at Kroger stores, Market Wagon said. Kroger would deliver orders to customers either on Tuesday or Friday, and they can choose from any of these two days.
