Kraft Heinz, a prominent FMCG brand found prevalently on grocery isles, has signed a 12-year-long partnership deal with Repsol, a Spanish renewal energy firm. The partnership will help the retail brand achieve its mission of procuring almost all of its electricity from renewable sources by 2025. The virtual power purchase agreement will help the brand work and achieve its sustainability goals. Kraft Heinz would procure renewal energy of 90-gigawatt hours/year from Repsol’s Delta II (Aragon, Spain), a project undergoing in Spain. The company detailed that there will be adequate energy for over 25,000 average EU households per year at its peak to use the renewable energy from Repsol.
