H-E-B, the San Antonio-based grocery chain, has launched its sixth e-commerce fulfilment centre in Plano, Texas. Spanning 55,000 square feet, the facility will support H-E-B’s Curbside and Home Delivery services in Plano, as well as nearby locations such as Frisco and upcoming supermarkets in McKinney and Allen. The new fulfilment centre aims to enhance capacity, efficiency, and product availability, resulting in reduced congestion for in-store shoppers. Automation technologies are also utilised to boost productivity during the order fulfilment process. With the addition of this facility, H-E-B can better meet the increasing demand for online shopping and drive the expansion of curbside and delivery services, available at over 270 stores in Texas. The Plano facility will employ more than 125 H-E-B associates, supporting the retailer’s e-commerce operations.
